This week's report is 7/5/2024.
This week we saw an increased yarding with a total of 3020 cattle yarded. Overall the market was firm to slightly dearer. The best gains were for feeder heifers, heavy cows and lighter cows.
Postponed to Thursday 6th July due to wet weather.
Gunnedah Store Cattle Sale - Thursday 6th July 2023 - 10am Gunnedah Saleyards
This week there was a total yarding of 2059 cattle. The market remained similar to last weeks levels across most grades of cattle.
As sales begin to slow down for the year, we saw a total yarding of yarding of 1153 cattle. Most grades of cattle were well represented with market trends continued to be weaker across the board with reduced competition on young cattle and export cattle.
An increased yarding this week with a total yarding of 2812 cattle. Most grades of cattle were well represented with market trends were softer across the board with some steep declines through the cow market.
An increased yarding this week with a total yarding of 2035 cattle. Most grades of cattle were well represented with market trends steady for the export & restocked cattle and slightly easier in the feeder cattle.
After no sale last week due to flooding, we saw good numbers this week with a total yarding of 1679 cattle. Most grades of cattle were well represented with market trends firmer for the export cattle and steady for most other grades
A big jump in numbers this week for a total yarding of 2910 cattle. A great selection of export, feeder, yearling and weaner cattle were on offer with market trend remaining firm with the increased numbers.
Numbers more than doubled this week to a total yarding of 2218 head. A great selection of export, feeder, yearling and weaner cattle were well represented but there were few light cattle on offer. Market trends remained very solid throughout the sale, with all regular buyers in attendance.
There was an increased yarding to 1564 head, with the market dominated by feeder cattle and some very good export cattle. The market remained firm with solid competition throughout the yarding.
There was a total yarding of 964 head, with the market dominated by feeder cattle and trade stock. The market continued to show a positive trend, with solid competition throughout the yarding.
It was great to see an increase in numbers this week with positive gains through all market categories.
We saw a reduced yarding this week with numbers back to 1334 head. Overall market trends remained firm with some increased competition through the cow market.
We saw an increased yarding this week with a total of 1798 head yarded. The JBR Team yarded 145 head, with some great quality local feeder and weaner cattle.
Numbers down slightly this week with a total of 1577 head yarded. The JBR Team yarded 104 head still with some great quality local feeder and weaner cattle.
An increased yarding this week with a total of 1932 head. Our JBR Team yarded 132 head with some very nice drafts of feeder and weaner cattle.
An increased yarding this week with a total to 999 head. Our JBR team yarded 54 head. There were some outstanding pens of cows, feeder, yearling & weaner cattle throughout the yarding with market trends remaining extremely firm throughout the sale.

A reduced yarding this week with a total of 868 head. The JBR Team yarding 191 head with some outstanding pens of export, feeder, yearling & weaner cattle.
A total yarding this week of 1107 head with the JBR Team yarding 173 head. Feeder steers saw strong competition along with an improvement in the export market.
A total yarding this week of 970 head with the JBR Team yarding 103 head. Market trends remained strong with increased competition on xbred feeder steers & heifers.
A total yarding this week of 1380 head with the JBR Team yarding 311 head. Market trends remained strong with increased competition on heavy feeder steers.

A total yarding this week of 1275 head with the JBR Team yarding 124 head.
A total yarding this week of 1172 head with most grades of cattle represented.
The JBR team yarded cattle from Gunnedah, Boggabri, Piallaway & Gwabegar districts.
There was a strong yarding of 1900 cattle with most grades of cattle well represented. Great to see the local cattle presenting with plenty of weight. Our JBR team presented 221 head of great quality cattle.

This week we saw an increased yarding with a total of 2444 yarded. With the increase in numbers market trends were firm to slightly cheaper.

This week there was a total yarding of 2118 cattle. The market remained similar to last weeks levels across most grades. Any cattle with weight sold well and light weight weaners remained to be a bit of a tough sell.
This week there was a total yarding of 1632 cattle. The market remained similar to last weeks levels across most grades of cattle with market trend still lacking confidence throughout.
A total yarding this week of 2000 head with some great runs of export, feeder & weaner cattle on offer.
The JBR team yarded 365 head of outstanding quality cattle, with feature lines from Boggabri, Mullaley, Coolah & Coonamble districts.
As harvest time draws near, the numbers increased this week to nearly 2700 cattle. A good quality yarding with plenty of feeder cattle on offer and also some special pens of heavy export cattle. Our JBR team presented 252 head of great quality cattle including a stand out pen of cows ex Mullaley district that made 495.2c x 762kg that made a whopping $3087.
This week there was a total yarding of 1173cattle. The market remained similar to last weeks levels across most grades, with market trends starting to show a bit more confidence throughout.
